day to day running a charity

Updated a couple of pages on the web site this morning. More blankets from the Inner Wheel have been received and are now logged on the appropriate web page. The lady who is giving us lots of school books is on the list of supporters along with a reference to the books elsewhere on the site.

The weekend has been and gone. one of our contacts has returned from holiday and has requested some information which she is going to use to help raise money for us.
We are nearer collecting the books that have been offered to us. One of our friends out in Zim has emailed to say he has nearly finished the poultry prject he started a while ago.

A load more emails, several asking for support in Africa. A lottery win would only scratch the surface of the real needs out there. check out the starfish story on the Movies page - it is the only way we can prevent ourselves feeling depressed about what we can do as against what we would like to do.

Bank holidat weekend. Africa and its problems seem so far away. At church I was asked how things are going out there in Zimbabwe. Prayers included prayers for the leadership of Zimbabwe.
It is encouraging to know people acr and we were just visiting another church where we have friends.
This wwek the next batch of blankets and toys etc will be packaged up to send to Zimbabwe. The blankets will, we hope be there for the southern Africn winter (our summer). The blankets were hand knitted by ladies here in Nuneaton, UK Part of the Inner Wheel international organisation.

Today we had mixed news. Photos from the latest school that we have started to assist with school fees - some 26 pre-school children and 58 primary age children. This out of a totl of 120 children in the school.
On a sadder note one of our friends has been beaten so baddly that he is in hospital.......

time passes and Titus and Winnie from Zimbabwe have come to the UK. Titus is a minister in the AFM church.
it was good to sit and talk with them on Friday eveniing. It gave a clearer picture of what is really happening out there. They fly back on Wednesday.
